Coda Blues

Baby wakes me in the morning

With coffee and some tea

Cuddles up and tells me

Ain't nobody sweet as me

Well I don't know what I've done right

But I sure do want to do it again

You know there's a cockerel in the hen house

He’s crowing up a storm

baby knows just how to calm him

So, he don't do any harm

You know I don't know what I've done right

But I sure do want to do it again

She's always friendly, I'm never sad

She rubs my feet when they're aching bad

I must have done good in some other lives

To have myself the very, very best of wives

My baby takes me to the country

My baby takes me to the sea

My baby takes just about any place

A man might want to be

Lord, I don't know what I'd done right

But I sure do want to do it again

Baby wakes me in the morning

With coffee and some tea

Cuddles up and tells me

Ain't nobody sweet as me

Well I don't know what I've done right

But I sure do want to do it again
